Doctors Oldham and Weiss are not only highly skilled and exceptionally trained surgeons, they are also compassionate and personable advanced laparoscopists who have focused and dedicated their practice to minimally invasive weight loss surgeries.

The physicians are joined by an exceptional team of medical professionals whose goal is to make your experience as easy as possible from the moment you attend an educational seminar to  the day you have your surgery, and in the months and years afterward as you reach your healthy weight goals.

Our team, located at the ARH Medical Mall in Hazard, includes ARH Bariatrics Director Anita McDaniel, RN, MSN and Lori B. Howard, ARNP, who will work one-on-one with you to get you on the road to weight loss surgery and better health.

Anita McDaniel, RN, MSN, has been a member of the ARH system for more than 27 years. She started her career with Hazard ARH as a licensed practical nurse and has held numerous leadership positions in her time with the health system. A weight loss surgery patient herself, Anita was chosen to head up the ARH program in early 2008 and brings a unique understanding and perspective to her new role.

Lori B. Howard, ARNP, worked as a registered nurse for 12 years before earning an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner degree in 2006. She has spent the past two years in a primary healthcare clinic setting in nearby Jackson, Kentucky where she treated patients of all ages.
